Description
This
Millipore opportunity is the first level manager who oversees the
payroll and stock plan administration functions including monitoring
and evaluating work performance, assisting with more complex issues,
delegating work, and providing training and direction. In this
role you will Manage effectively across the company's matrixed
organization. Promote effective lateral communication and coordination
across groups, internal and external to the function to improve
efficiency and achieve desired results. Ensure that important company
and functional messages, including priorities and goals are
communicated effectively to direct reports. Maintain a
motivated, high performing organization. Evaluate talent using the
finance competency model, and effectively implements the company's
performance management practices. You will actively develops finance
talent and contribute to the development of future finance leaders. You
will be expected to operate with the highest degree of integrity,
ensuring the confidentiality and proper use of sensitive information. Responsible
for the complete, accurate, and timely completion of all North America
payrolls and global stock plan administration. Lead a team that is responsive in resolving payroll issues and inquiries maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Meet
all government reporting requirements for payroll taxes, withholding
and employer contributions. Ensure all payroll month-end close
activities are aligned with the accounting close schedule. Review and
approves payroll balance sheet reconciliations Manage the
payroll and stock plan vendor relationships. Review services and
products. Meet regularly with vendor representatives to establish and
maintain favorable relationship. Support audit requests and ad-hoc analysis requests from internal customers. Lead
project teams on process improvements, system enhancements,
implementation, and training for payroll and equity solutions. Lead
payroll projects and payroll system upgrades in coordination with HR,
IT and outside vendors. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Bachelors
Degree with prior experience managing a diverse payroll
population. This department services 2700 salaried and hourly employees
across multiple states and provinces in the United States, Canada, and
Puerto Rico Strong working knowledge of payroll and stock plan
systems (ADP and Equity Edge preferred), with expertise in system and
program implementations. The candidate should be a skilled
customer service professional who responds to queries and issues from
all levels of the organization, including Directors and senior
executives. Superior business judgment analyzing and evaluating
opportunities, including the implementation of corrective actions where
appropriate. Utilizes a continuous learning approach to
identify and implement best practices, including ongoing networking
with other companies and organizations.
