Genoptix, Inc. provides personalized services to hematologists and oncologists to enable more informed management of cancer patients downstream of diagnosis. Medical tests based on the Company’s proprietary technology and other exclusively-licensed tests are performed at Genoptix’ licensed laboratory, based in Carlsbad, CA.
Stock Plan Administrator
We are currently seeking a Stock Plan Administrator responsible for supporting our stock option, ESPP and other equity programs and services for over 200 employees in locations across the United States and Puerto Rico. This position reports to the Senior Director, Finance
Duties will include:
-Expertly manage daily operations relating to the company’s stock plan administration, ensuring a high level of quality
-Manage relationship with the transfer agent and corporate brokers
-Reconcile cash and shares related to stock plan transactions on a monthly basis
-Interact directly with company executives and employees regarding their equity compensation
-Ensure the timely delivery of all reports requested regularly and on an ad hoc basis by finance, tax, payroll, treasury, human resources, legal, and other departments as needed
-Work with legal department and outside counsel as needed
-Ensure proper compliance with accounting and tax rules, and securities laws for US employees
-Oversee preparation of Equity Edge reports required for FAS 123 (R) calculations for quarterly and annual financial statement disclosures and forecasting.
-Oversee documentation of all stock administration processes
-Design and implement process improvement initiatives
-Direct automation efforts to improve efficiency and accuracy
-Develop and deliver global employee communication and education programs
-Improve systems and procedures designed to provide outstanding customer service to members of Board of Directors, and employees of all levels
-Act as a business partner in advising on and development of programs, processes, procedures, and implementation of best practices
-Ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner and escalated appropriately
-Manage or participate in special equity compensation-related projects as needed
Requirements:
-The appropriate individual will possess a minimum 5 years of experience administering equity plans in a publicly traded company
-Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
-Strong understanding of the accounting, tax and legal requirements of equity plans
-Extensive knowledge of progressive stock plan administration
-SOX experience (writing narratives, performing controls, interacting with auditors)
-Exceptional leadership, team building, communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
-Detail-oriented, organized, able to multi-task and prioritize in fast-paced environment
-Creative problem solving skills, good judgment, an understanding of confidentiality and sense of professionalism
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Level III CEP Certification highly desired, will consider applicants with Level II who are willing to complete certification program
-Expert skills using Equity Edge, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications
