We
have an immediate need at one of major clients in the banking/finance
industry for a senior level accountant that has worked on stock
compensation accounting. This position requires in depth knowledge of
SFAS 123R and the characteristics of various equity based incentive
awards. Position is responsible for posting monthly journal entries to
record expense related to the equity based awards and reconciliation of
all related general ledger accounts to third party administrator.
Position is also responsible for reconciling and posting journal
entries related to grants and forfeitures of equity awards. Position
requires good excel skills (including creating formulas) and the
ability to manage large amounts of complex data without compromise. You
must have experience with SFAS 123R. Other pertinent experience would
be reconciliations, analysis. Also need a person with the ability to
work independently but know when to ask questions. Self-motivated,
attention to detail and deadlines.
Prior management experience
is not necessary, we are placing more value on a candidate's ability to
analyze and reconcile large amounts of data.
This is a 6 month
temp position, however the opportunity to go permanent is there for the
right candidate. The shift hours are Monday through Friday 8:30am to
5:30pm.
