JOB DESCRIPTION
This position works closely with the Director of Global Stock Plans, the Executive Director of HR Operations, and Global Compensation to support the Global Equity administration process and systems for our client. By working closely with their selected outsource provider, this individual will be responsible for the timely and accurate execution of the client’s Equity programs. This individual will work closely with Legal, Tax, Finance, and client’s Divisions and maintains a thorough understanding of the systems currently in use, interdependencies, process and data flows and the functionality of these systems.
The successful applicant will have the following key responsibilities:
• Work with Director to establish and execute global strategy for short and long term direction of Equity Plan Administration
• Assist Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in Finance, and Compensation with evaluation of Equity Programs and the ultimate administration and delivery of these plans
• Accountable for processes, results, controls, and is willing to dig in on transactional issues
• Understands and exceeds customer expectations
• Establishes and monitors metrics to proactively assess Equity Administration
• Escalates issues to Sr. Management as needed
Data Quality:
• Establish and execute global strategy to assess and enhance data requirements to consistently improve processes and to address regulatory and business changes
• Establish metrics to proactively monitor administration
• Work with data owners across the enterprise to constantly improve processes and data quality
• Work with Legal and IT to ensure compliance and security requirements are met for globally safeguarding employee information
SOX Controls and Business Continuity Planning (BCP):
• Establish strategy and work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in Benefits, Compensation, and HRIS to ensure SOX requirements are met
• Work with SMEs and IT to establish, maintain and test Business Continuity Plans (BCP)
Perform Special Projects:
• Work closely with Finance and M&A, Legal, SMEs and divisions to coordinate periodic acquisition and divestiture activities for Administration
• Assist Director of Global Stock Plans and Executive Director HR Operations on special projects as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
BBA or MBA with concentration in Operations, and/or Finance
5-7 years experience of increasing responsibility in Equity Administration of a Global and Multi-state organization or consulting firm with similar clients
Specialized Knowledge:
• Experienced in all regulatory aspects of Equity Administration
• Strong emphasis on FAS123 and Proxy/SEC reporting
• Expert on marketplace trends and internal processes
• Strong Accounting and financial skills
Technical Skills:
• Strong Knowledge of all Equity Administration Systems
• Proven experience designing, developing and managing system projects
• Strong knowledge of tax and accounting requirements related to Equity and payroll administration
• Strong working knowledge of all Microsoft products (incl’d Project, Access, Visio)
• Adept at multiple report writer tools
Managerial, communication, and skills:
• Outstanding consultative skills and the ability to influence others for which there is no direct reporting relationship
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to deal with all levels including executive management
• Proven experience managing and developing staff
