Are you our next Compensation Program Manager?
We are currently seeking a Compensation Program Manager for our Plymouth, MN location. The Compensation Program Manager is responsible for managing base pay, annual incentive and recognition programs in support of program objectives and the compensation strategy. Responsible for all aspects of program management, including reporting, administration, training, communication, funding, and compliance as well as the maintenance of employee classifications and safeguards for ensuring non-discriminatory pay practices. In addition, this person will serve as Tier 3 escalation contact resource for handling and resolving compensation-related issues, claims or audits.


What will you do?
• Program Management: Develops base, incentive and recognition program parameters for use across Mosaic and partners with Compensation Consultants to secure approval of program design, training and communication. Tracks program spend, trend and forecasts based on workforce analytics and economic leading indicators. Generates program effectiveness reporting for the enterprise and initiates continuous improvement actions in concert with Compensation Consultants.
• Training and Communication: Develops or oversees the development of training, tools and communications required for successful performance of process tasks by HR Generalists, People Leaders and Compensation Consultants.
• Compensation Compliance: Develops and maintains a governance framework for testing and monitoring program compliance with Federal, State, Provincial and International laws and regulations. Reviews compensation processes for evidence of disparate impact and initiates remedial action, as required. Documents evidence of a legally compliant process, as required, and ensures that process key controls are working effectively.
• Process Ownership: Builds, modifies or revamps compensation processes, including total compensation focal review, as required to support program strategy and objectives. Measures process efficiency, accuracy and integrity by reference to key performance indicators captured on an annual or quarterly basis, depending on the process frequency. Plans and implements compensation actions related to reductions in force, divesture or other extraordinary business events.
• Be vigilant of issues and conditions that can affect their fellow workers.
• Report any issues that can impact the environment or the safety of the employees.
What do you need for this role?
• Bachelor's degree required. Major in Business, Economics or Human Resources preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in compensation analyst and supervisory roles in large, preferably global companies
• Base pay program design, including salary structures, merit guidelines and compliance
• Annual incentive design, administration and communication
• Compensation reporting, analytics and effectiveness measurement
• Project management and process research skills
• Ability to manage outsourced service providers and other vendors
• Ability to interpret statistical analysis and translate into actionable information
• Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred
• Candidate must be proficient in a Microsoft Office environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project)
• Experience with automation of compensation processes using integrated payroll, HRIS and salary administration systems
• Workday system experience preferred
• Strong verbal, written and listening communication skills, including excellent presentation and facilitation skills
• Proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively work and create effective partnerships with employees at all levels within the organization
• Ability to adapt to a continually changing business and work environment and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Demonstrated critical thinking and decision making skills
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to manage complex projects
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to manage processes and work independently
• Ability to play a consultative role and deliver innovative results
• Must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the job without posing a direct threat to the safety of his or her own self, or the safety of others.
• Able to hear and see, with or without correction
• Able to read, write and understand basic English
• Able to travel unassisted
• Able to use fine hand motor skills
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
