More than 500 companies ranging from small privately held startups to large multi-national public corporations are using the Option Ease solution to comply with the complex regulation of FAS 123(R) and manage their equity plans.


OptionEase, Inc. is looking for a SQL / Reporting Services Developer to work with the development and professional services teams in the design, creation, revision and management of reports used by the OptionEase application.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


Responsible for delivery of reports according to agreed timescales and scope. Specific activities include the following:



  • Translate business requirements into report designs

  • Development of reports using Microsoft SSRS 2005 and 2008

  • Develop and debug SQL Server Stored Procedures

  • Create tables and views in SQL Server database

  • T-SOL code review for performance

  • Indexing and optimization of database tables


- Responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving of SQL report      development


- Track status and communicate progress effectively to Management


- On-call availability and after hours work as needed


DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:


- Accounting experience a major plus


- Microsoft development certification


- ASP.Net development using c# with Visual Studio 2008


- Experience developing software for regulated markets (e.g. SOX, HIPAA)


- Strong self-sufficiency and initiative working on projects


- Excellent written/verbal communication skills


- Strong customer focus


- Excellent project/program planning skills


- Analytical capabilities, creative problem solving and resourcefulness


QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:


- BS degree in CS, EE, Information Systems or a related field



 - Minimum of three years development experience with Microsoft Reporting Services


- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and 2008


- Practical experience in managing the internal and external MS SQL database security

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States (as a citizen, green card holder or EAD card holder). This position is not able to provide sponsorship, visa transfers, relocation, H1-8's or F1-8's.


Candidates must be willing to work out of an office located in Mission Viejo, California.
