JOB BOARD: TECHNICAL WRITER / DOCUMENTATION SPECIALIST

OptionEase, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Software Technical Writer /Documentation Specialist.

OptionEase, Inc. is the market and technology leader in on-demand web based accounting compliance solutions. More than 500 companies ranging from small privately held start-ups to large multi-national public corporations are using the OptionEase solution to comply with the complex regulation ofF AS 123(R) and manage their equity plans.

Roles and responsibilities:

The qualified candidate shall be responsible for developing and maintaining a full range of documentation for external and internal consumption. These include but are not limited to User Manuals, HTML based Help Files, Training Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures and Quick Reference Guides.

Tasks include:

Provide technical writing for program and operational documentation.

Gathers, analyzes, and composes technical information.

Conducts research and ensures the use of proper technical terminology.

Translate technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and nontechnical personneL

Review content of technical documentation for quality.

Produce technical and scientific illustrations for presentations and/or publication, as appropriate to the requirements.

Provide documentation in presentation-ready quality output using advanced word processing or desktop publishing software.

Additionally, this individual will share responsibility with the QA department to document processes and procedures, and with the training team to create end-user documentation.

Required Skills:

3 to 5 years of experience in documentation of Training Manuals & SOP's

Proficient in Word, PPT and Excel.

Ability to get organized and drive the documentation track.

Ability to interface effectively at all levels within the project team and the organization, both internal and external to our client.

Source the right people to determine what is required and create a plan to ensure timely delivery.

Ability to multi-task in a fast paced project environment.

Strong understanding of software development life-cycle (SDLC).

Ability to identify and document VAT Test Cases based on Requirement and Design Documents.

Experience with help authoring tools such as Robohelp a plus.

Background or experience in accounting a plus.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Three or more years working for an established software development organization.

Bachelor degree in science or arts.
