Position Description


The Equity Compensation Relationship Manager has overall responsibility for the satisfaction and profitability of Equity Compensation Plan client relationships. This includes establishing relationships with all key client decision makers, managing business plans for client satisfaction, operational effectiveness and profitability, converting plan participants into long-term Fidelity customers, expanding client relationships with additional Equity Compensation services, and strategically positioning Fidelity's products and services.


Primary Responsibilities  



  • Monitor client satisfaction and facilitate the timely resolution of client issues, to the satisfaction of the client, and informing Fidelity management as needed

  • Manage client profitability through periodic monitoring of margins and key expense drives, and strategically working to implement proactive steps to achieve the desired results

  • Work with business partners, including the local branches, Executive Services, and telephone teams to develop programs that benefit plan sponsors and participants.

  • Provide each client with a formal plan review, addressing client needs and opportunities for enhanced service.

  • Working consultatively with clients by understanding and assessing industry trends, regulatory shifts, and competitive analysis within the equity compensation field. 

  • Thorough understanding of the business, culture, politics and nuances of each assigned client.

  • Participate in the prospecting and sales process as part of the extended sales team to represent the Equity Compensation RM role for the prospect.

  • Support client need to facilitate corporate actions (M&A, major program changes, plan design updates, etc), and fulfilling requirements for client approval, pricing and sign-off on activities to be performed.


Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree is required and an MBA or equivalent is desired.

  • Certified Equity Professional (CEP) Level 1 designation (or willingness to achieve level 1 within first year)

  • Candidate must obtain Series 7 and 63 NASD licenses.

  • He/she must be successful at working in a matrix management environment with the ability to build credibility internally and externally at all levels within an organization.

  • A proven ability to provide a strategic perspective on comprehensive employee benefit solutions for large corporations, along with well developed communication, project management, consulting, and leadership skills is required.

  • The candidate must possess a true commitment to customer satisfaction, have an unsurpassed sense of urgency and view change as an integral component of corporate success.
