Description

The HR MADO team has an opening for Total Rewards and Executive Transition lead. HR MADO provides successful HR transition of employees resulting from HP's mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and outsourcing deals (MADO). We provide end-to-end HR leadership and project management as well as Total Rewards support from early consultation through employee on-boarding.

Reporting into the Global HR MADO (Mergers, Acquisitions, Divestitures & Outsourcing) Total Rewards (TR) Manager, with a dotted line to the Director, HR M&A, the primary focus will be to Lead the M&A TR practice area and lead Executive Transitions.

This highly visible role will partner with the Deal HR Project Manager, Strategy & Corporate Development, acquiring HP Business and HR Executives to successfully onboard transitioning target executives and employees into HP for all Total Rewards elements.

The successful candidate will:


Lead the TR M&A practice area and be a subject matter expert in the areas of executive comp, retention bonuses and TR solutions that pertain to M&A
Flawlessly project manage due diligence through on boarding process for executives and mainstream employees for all Total Rewards
Calculate and update deal payout matrices for executive and key employees including equity payouts, accelerations, severance amounts, change-in-control provisions and impacts, etc.
For early deals, analyze publicly available information (eg: EDGAR) on executives to make projections and budgetary estimates
Apply diligence, market requirements and executive leveling principles to create and propose compelling executive packages and TR Solution.
Build data driven case for proposals with stakeholders and apply governance for gaining approval
Drive the executive offer letter process and ensure flawless delivery, including management of additional new-hire forms (confidentiality agreements, etc.)
Manage additional resources (ex. Consultants) where needed in case of bandwidth issues
Project-manage TR SMEs to deliver end-to-end Total Rewards solution


Qualifications

Education and Experience Required:


Bachelor's degree in Business or related field of study or equivalency. Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years combined Compensation & Benefits and M&A experience.
Expertise in supporting M&A transactions
Expert knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment as it relates to executive and equity compensation
Strong understanding of tax and accounting rules applicable to executive and equity compensation
Operates with a country specific and global mindset
Results driven, very high sense of urgency, energy & optimism
Willingness to travel and work long hours in a specified period of time
Attention to detail while thinking strategically
Able to combine strategic thinking with solid operational & disciplined focus
Creative mindset, able to think outside the box
Team player and change driver
Expert analytical & problem-solving skills
Excellent familiarity with Excel
Hands-on approach
Ability to communicate effectively across all employee groups (executives, managers & employees)

Fluent in English, other languages would be an advantage
Complete systematic understanding of total rewards systems, as well as other Human Resource (HR) functions.
Advanced knowledge of the regulatory environment as it relates to employee compensation and benefits, including emerging legislation.
Superior communication, leadership, consulting, influence, and negotiation skills.
Exceptional financial and business acumen.
Excellent project management, problem solving, and analytical skills, and the ability to execute a project within the scope of overall strategies.
Meets the licensing or certification requirements of the relevant country or region (e.g., Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) in the US.
Leadership and demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders including senior executives.
Collaborative approach with all partners and stakeholders - and demonstrated success in driving to conclusions in ambiguous situations
