Stock Plan Services (SPS) division of this top Financial Services firm is seeking a Vice President of Technology for this growth business. SPS provides public companies with the expertise and convenience of a single provider to administer their equity compensation programs across a range of vehicles, including: Employee Stock Purchase Plans, Restricted Stock Awards/Units, Stock Option Plans, and Stock Appreciation Rights.


 


The Team is broken down into Architecture, Development, Distributed Support, Implementations, Platform Development, Production Services and Program Management groups.


 


The Vice President of Technology for Stock Plan Services (Equity Compensation) is accountable for IT strategy, platform development, product development, client implementations, client change requests and level 3 production support. This role is responsible for directly managing the work of 50 technology professionals, facing off with key business leaders and coordinating multi-platform development and release management with IT partners.


 


Primary Responsibilities


Actively manage all Stock Plan technology development programs
Provide strategic direction for IT aspects of the multi-year roadmap
Formulating a short and long term product/technology delivery schedule
Interact with Technology partners to ensure
Accountability to service levels
Adherence to discretionary development program schedules
IT budget management
Directly manage development, implementation and support organizations - (50 associates)
Communicate to senior management on progress
Relationship manager for business partners



Qualifications


 


Education and Experience


BS/BA Degree in Business Management or Computer Science or equivalent
MBA highly preferred
10 - 20 years of IT management & delivery experience in the investment domain


Skills and Knowledge:


Stock Plan and Brokerage technology industry experience is preferred
Full software development lifecycle experience
Client implementation experience
Proven experience in creating platform scale and efficiency
Workforce modeling and organizational development skills
Strategy and product roadmap development
Strong business partnership skills are essential
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Proven leadership, planning and collaboration
