The Compensation Manager is responsible for developing, managing and
administering compensation programs for the Buffalo Wild Wings. This
role reports to the Director of Total Rewards and HR Systems.
The right candidate for this role will have demonstrated expertise
in the following areas: job analysis, competitive market pricing;
compensation salary bands, base salary, variable/sales driven
compensation, incentive plan design, equity incentive, auto allowance,
ESPP, stock options, restricted stock options, and executive
compensation.
Education/Training/Experience:
A Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or a Related Field required
with at least 7 - 10 years experience in a broad-reaching human
resources or compensation, with a minimum of 5 years specifically in
corporate compensation; or equivalent combination of education and
experience. Experience with a back-office HRIS System (ex, Ultimate
Software) is required, Multi-unit, multi-state; restaurant or retail
background in multiple states is strongly preferred. Prior international
compensation experience is a plus.

Executive Compensation background
Strong incentive-based compensation background is required
Responsibilities Include:
Design and administration of compensation programs
Utilizes a variety of tools and research to make recommendations on
current and future adjustments to salary bands and variable compensation
guidelines.
Participates in salary surveys (Geographic, Industry, etc) for all
positions. Prepares and applies meaningful analysis of the survey data.
Maintain accurate compensation summary plan documents, and detailed
total compensation analysis documents, catered and stored in appropriate
locations based on the audience.
Maintain accurate employee compensation data in the appropriate tracking area, example HRIS, or other reports.
Tracks the assignments of position titles to the correct company
bonus programs, ensuring alignment with the Total Rewards Program.
Participates on a cross-functional team at end of year to aid in
communication, data collection, and pay-out of incentive bonuses in a
timely and consistent fashion.
Assist the Director of Total Rewards and HR Systems in maintaining a
total rewards philosophy and in addressing escalated total rewards
issues.
Provide assistance to management on routine compensation questions, particularly around incentive compensation and merit.
Partnership with Talent Acquisition and HRBPs to provide guidance to identify competitive, geographic compensation data.
Compile and distribute scheduled and/or ad hoc reports and analysis.
Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), Stock Option Plan, & Restricted Stock Plan
o Partners directly with the ESPP administrating vendor;
manages the relationship, and assists employees with escalated
questions.
o Track all stock exercises and stock sales on a quarterly basis.
o Maintain all Restricted Stock information and assist in the plan communications to participants.
o Establish and maintain written procedures regarding employee instructions and administration of these plans.
o Create the year-end disqualifying disposition reports for the ESPP, Stock Options and Non-Qualified Stock Plans.
o Update reports to meet department, management and business needs.
o Maintain and audit this system on a regular basis.
o Other duties as assigned
