APAC\Japan HK Regional HR Senior Compensation Analyst Executive Deferred Compensation and International Tax (SVP)
Monitoring in-market and sector developments and trends and evaluating the implications for Citi
Managing the delivery of existing plans and the implementation of any new plans
Maintain close working relationships with the NY Global Mobility Unit and deferred compensation teams and with local HR contacts in the businesses and across the region
Continuously implement and overseas the secondment policy across the region
Maintain constructive professional relationships with external vendors, professional bodies and competitors' C&B teams and participate in relevant forums in order to proactively monitor in-market and sector developments and trends, evaluating the implications for Citi and maintaining Citi's position with respect to best practice and fit
Identify and recommend for evaluation relevant innovations and /or adaptations to further align Citi's deferred compensation programs and employment packages with the business and reward strategies
Working with external vendors and internal teams (e.g., corporate tax, accounting policy, employee relations, compliance, legal and senior HR management), co-ordinate and provide thorough evaluations of potential deferred compensation arrangements or adaptations for stop/go decisions by senior management
Maintaining a detailed technical knowledge of equity compensation (tax, finance, accounting, legal and etc) and relevant trends and developments
Continuously manage the hypothetical taxation and tax expense balance sheets general ledger account
Reviewing local changes (tax, legal and etc.), evaluating any potential changes and implementing, as appropriate
Continuously review and manage Senior Management Executives' current compensation package, tax arrangement, deferred and equity compensation award portfolio management
Qualifications:
· B.S. degree or above
· CPA qualified or equivalent
· Big 4 tax experience
· Detailed knowledge of both local and cross-border employer and employee tax and social implications arising from equity and deferred compensation plans
· Good knowledge of the general finance and accounting implications arising from cross-border taxation, equity and deferred compensation plans.
· Working knowledge of the potential legal (company and employment law) and other regulatory matters (e.g., disclosures, employer relations and etc.) that require consideration in relation to mobility taxation and deferred/equity compensation programs
