JOB BOARD: Director of Equity Comp - SunGard- PA/NY

My name is Pamela Escalante and I do Executive Search for Sr. Professionals nationwide.   I am starting a new retained search for our client, SunGard. 

This search is fascinating in that we are looking for someone with an eclectic assortment of skills and experiences to run worldwide equity compensation - a position that reports to the HR group for a person who may or may not have any HR experience.

The ideal candidate would be someone who has structured equity for large and complex organizations and has subject matter expertise around:

• equity vehicles in general


• stock, options of all types


• warrants, etc.


• capitalization tables


• M&A impacts on equity (and how to calculate and model)


• dilution analysis

SunGard has a most complex and sophisticated equity set-up, doing business in over 50 countries and having acquired over 50 companies.  We are seeking a unique individual who is highly quantitative, deeply analytical,  an Excel (spreadsheeting) wizard, with the experience to deal with executive comp and other compensation issues of a large and dynamic company that expects merely excellence in execution on a daily basis. 

For the right person this could be a career changing opportunity with incredible exposure and leadership potential.

The right person may have been in HR Comp, but also may have been in investment banking or finance/legal with an acquisitive company.  Or perhaps a consulting firm doing all of the above.

The job is based in Wayne, PA, but much time will also be spent in NYC - making a NY base possible for the right person.
