Job Description



  • Responsible for the administration of the company's stock option, restricted stock, and deferred director fee programs.

  • Manages and oversees stock option software, restricted stock and deferred director fee vendor relationships. 

  • Acts as a liaison between the vendors and Wilmington Trust. 

  • Manages stock option and restricted stock record keeping and reporting systems as well as directors' compensation. 

  • Partners with SOX, Payroll, Legal, Finance and Human Resources on all reporting needs. 

  • Assists in the administration of the company's stock option and restricted stock program including: daily wire reconciliations, month-end reporting, daily terminations, restricted list upkeep, creating and importing monthly grant upload files for new stock option and restricted stock recipients, calculating prorated options for retirees, facilitating option exercises for individuals subject to Section 16, reporting for senior executives, proxy reporting, addressing any escalated issues or inquiries, and partnering with SOX, Payroll, Legal, Finance and Human Resources on any additional reporting needs.

  • Responsible for the monthly and quarterly financial reporting including the required reporting for all footnote disclosures and coordination with tax group for required tax entries. Responsible for the month-end journal entries to record grants, exercises, expense amortization, etc., including reconciliation of the accounts with the monthly and quarterly reports. 

  • Responsible for managing and processing directors' semi-annual and quarterly compensation; directors' reimbursement expenses; and oversight of directors' deferred fee plan. 

  • Main point of contact for staff member questions related to the stock programs and for directing staff members to vendors as appropriate. 

  • Responsible for tracking and reporting stock ownership compliance for senior executives.

  • Responsible for any ad hoc management reporting and analysis required.


  Job Requirements Strong accounting background and experience presenting to senior level management is preferred.


 


Bachelor's Degree required with 2-4 years equivalent work experience in accounting/finance, project management, and stock option administration.


 


Must be proficient in MS Office, Excel and other software applications, able to quickly understand and grasp new software application concepts.


 


Working knowledge of stock option systems such as ASTEPS, ComputerShare, etc. (or other stock option systems) is a plus.


 


Must posses ability to multi-task, pay strict attention to detail, perform time/project management skills.
