MDDescription Job Summary:The successful candidate will have a strong
background in generally accepted accounting principles and financial
reporting, particularly as it relates to reporting with the Securities
and Exchange Commission. The successful candidate will be responsible
for preparation of the monthly and quarterly reporting, including
financial statement preparation and SEC reporting, as well as general
ledger closing activities for multiple locations. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:1. Prepare SEC reports and coordinate EDGAR preparation
and filing. This includes Forms 10-Q, 10-K and 8-K. 2. Prepare
quarterly corporate reporting calendar and oversee timeliness of
completion of tasks. 3. Review account reconciliations and financial
data prepared by other locations for closing and reporting. 4. Oversee
and/or directly maintain equity compensation accounting, reporting and
internal controls. 5. Analyze accounting for revenue arrangements and
other technical accounting matters and prepare related journal entries
and account reconciliations. 6. Assist in the preparation of monthly
financial statements. 7. Provide information to outside tax return
preparers and external auditors as needed. Assist in coordination of
annual audit and quarterly reviews. 8. Oversee government reporting. 9.
Assist in implementation and maintenance of XBRL reporting and IFRS
adoption. 10. Assist in documentation and maintenance of accounting
policies and procedures. 11. Ensure compliance with internal controls
and SOX 404. 12. Support the Corporate Controller and Assistant
Controller in performance of their duties. 13. Special projects as
needed. Supervisory Responsibilities: NoneRequirements
Qualifications:1. Bachelors degree in business or accounting. CPA
preferred but not required. 2. Strong leadership skills. 3. Minimum of
six years progressive experience in public and/or private accounting
position, with emphasis on SEC reporting. 4. Strong knowledge of
generally accepted accounting principles and SEC filing requirements. 5.
Working knowledge of an accounting system, Excel and Word. 6. Detail
oriented and self-motivated with demonstrated ability to effectively
manage and prioritize multiple and diverse responsibilities. 7.
Excellent problem solving abilities. 8. Exceptional written and verbal
communication skills. 9. Ability to work and interact with departments
throughout the organization.
