Description:
  GENERAL FUNCTION: Responsible for the system
administration of job codes and corresponding job descriptions, helping
to ensure consistent and accurate formats/tracking. Assists with the
administration of the Fifth Third Bank equity compensation plans. Also
responsible a variety of administrative tasks, reporting and project
work for the Compensation department. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *
Administration/processing of Job Codes/Descriptions - ~60% of time o
Assign job codes for new job descriptions and/or update job descriptions
or title changes for current positions for all Bancorp and Affiliates. o
Work directly with the affirmative action group to attain needed codes.
o Format and edit job descriptions to comply with the standard job code
template, saving as a Word text document and typing the HR system
request form to attain a system number. o Forward relevant documents to
position administrators so job codes can be set up/updated in the
system. o Update an Excel spreadsheet and verify information matches
report repository data. o Complete intranet job code and job description
updates for the HR web-based resource center. Verify the description or
title change has been linked. o Communicate updates to all appropriate
personnel and maintain all requests, back-up paperwork and e-mails. *
Equity Compensation Administration - ~25% of time o Coordinate
processing and settlement of daily stock option and stock appreciation
rights exercises and restricted stock releases with the transfer agent
(Computershare) and relevant brokers. o Provide tax summaries to
Accounts Payable and Payroll departments for year-end 1099 and W-2
processing. o Provide timely notification to the Legal department for
Section 16 Officer activity. o Ensure the Equity Edge system has current
participant information. o Respond to participant questions and handle
issue resolution. o Prepare monthly equity compensation reports for
Accounting. o Gather information for potential disqualifying
dispositions; create and mail surveys and track responses. o Reconcile
award balances monthly in the Equity Edge system with accounting and
Computershare. * Other activities o Assist new Compensation employees
with their assimilation. o Assist in the preparation of administrative
reports. o Support department personnel by assisting with copying,
faxing, filing, mailings, etc. o Provide prompt and knowledgeable
service to all internal and external clients along with thorough
follow-up, directing incoming calls to the correct source. o Sort and
distribute incoming mail as well as prepare outgoing mail. o Coordinate
and arrange meetings and facilities; prepare agendas. o Organize and
maintain files and associated correspondence and other records. o
Monitor and keep department supplies fully stocked. o Arrange ongoing
equipment maintenance. o Process invoices and maintain attendance
records. o Perform any other special projects as assigned. SUPERVISORY
RESPONSIBILITIES: None

















Requirements


KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED: * Excellent
communication skills. * Extreme attention to detail, maintaining the
highest quality. * Ability to work in a team environment. * Work
requires ability to type, edit and proof general business correspondence
and prepare reports as normally acquired through completion of a high
school education. * Work requires an in-depth understanding of company
policies, procedures and operations in order to assume a variety of
administrative details; usually acquired with four years of secretarial
or related experience, including at least two years of related
experience with the Bank. * Ability to maintain confidentiality. *
Professional demeanor and interpersonal skills necessary. * Good
organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple demands and
competing priorities. * Experience with Microsoft office products, such
as Word, Excel and PowerPoint is necessary.
