Job description:
          


This position will be responsible for managing a dynamic
Apple Stock Plan Operations team in Austin, Texas.


Responsibilities will include overseeing and hands-on
interaction of the following:


• Managing a team responsible for daily option exercise
activity, monthly RSU releases (including semi-annual broad, large-scale
focals) and the semi-annual ESPP programs;


• Ensuring compliance with U.S. and International laws and
relevant tax guidelines for global stock plans, including NQ options, ISOs,
RSUs and ESPP;


• Developing and implementing a world-class global mobility
equity tracking solution;


• Managing the quarterly stock-based compensation expense
accounting and reporting in accordance with ASC No. 718 (SFAS123R) and IFRS
reporting requirements outside of the U.S;


• Reviewing and approving general ledger entries and account
reconciliations to ensure financial data is recorded in accordance with
established company policies and GAAP;


• Ensuring documentation is in place for internal and
external audits as well as Sarbanes Oxley testing and compliance;


• Managing the Section 16 reporting requirements while
working closely with internal and outside counsel;


• Maintaining the integrity of data in the stock plan
database, Equity Edge, and coordinating necessary software or systems upgrades;


• Leading the transition to an online, vendor-hosted stock
administration application, Equity Edge Online;


• Reviewing internal HR Web stock-related communications on
a quarterly basis to ensure information is accurate and up-to-data;


• Providing stock-related training and training-related
materials to the HR Helpline and other Apple partners as requested;


• Serving as escalation point for employee issues that cannot
be resolved by others on the team;


• Providing ad-hoc reporting to tax, payroll, finance, human
resources, legal and accounting departments across Apple;


• Managing other related duties and projects as assigned by
Apple Management.


 




The qualified candidate must have the following skills and
experience:



• BA/BS required


• CEP preferred


• 7-10 years of related experience required


• 3-5 years of people management experience


• Extensive equity and accounting experience in global stock
concepts and practices


• Extensive experience administering the Equity Edge stock
plan system including options, awards and ESPP programs


• Prior experience with M&As


• Highly motivated, with exceptional problem-solving and
decision-making skills;


• Ability to research and handle extremely confidential
information in a professional and discretionary manner


• Excellent communication, math, and analytical skills


• Proven project management skills, with attention to
detail


• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on
delivering accurate and timely information


• Team player, responsive, and eager to step in wherever
needed.
