This top tier Investment Bank is currently seeking a
Compensation Accountant to provide financial management, analysis,
reporting and planning for all compensation related issues.



Key Responsibilities:



* Involvement in month end US GAAP and UK GAAP financial process for
compensation items (pension, share based payments and other
compensation related items)

* Manage and coordinate the region's contribution to Global
reporting requirements (e.g. Incentive Compensation reporting, Equity
Award reconciliations)

* Act as a control and advisory unit for the region on Compensation
matters.

* Preparation of UK & IFRS to US GAAP accounting differences and
liaison with Auditors and internal Accounting Policy to ensure
appropriate documentation of these differences

* Ensure consistent quality and the use of best practice for
Compensation Accounting within the Country Financial Control functions
in the EMEA region

* Further automation of the region's compensation accounting entries
(specifically, involvement in the Global Equity Compensation
Initiative)

* Pursue cost efficiencies /synergies in each country by balancing
shared (central) services against in-country provision of services (e.g.
working with regional payroll and HR on Expatriate costs processes)



The successful candidate will be fully qualified, ideally through a
Big 4 Practice environment, with strong technical accounting skills
(UK/US GAAP, IFRS) gained within a Financial Services organisation or in
Practice. Strong academics and excellent system skills are highly
desirable.
