Hay Group currently has an opening for an Associate Consultant –
Executive Compensation in our New York Metro office. 
 
Position Overview: The primary responsibility of this position is to
provide project management and analytic support to the Senior
Consultants and Consultants in the region. Candidates will also need to
assist in the growth of the consulting practice by providing thought
leadership, development and overall marketing strategy. Also, must be or
become proficient in job evaluation and market pricing. The incumbent
will participate in regional cross-functional teams and promote teamwork
with the practices, offices, and regions. This position provides the
opportunity to work with high profile clients in dynamic industries.
Principal Accountabilities include:
?  Providing analytical, conceptual, and process support services to
clients and to the Consultants.
?  Generating billings revenue by conducting assigned analyses, writing
and preparing reports, and assisting clients in implementing desired
changes.
?  Delivering basic technical and process consulting through management
of consulting projects.
?  Becoming proficient in Hay Group methodologies by attending assigned
seminars, participating in consulting projects, reading and researching
relevant literature.
?  Preparing compensation conclusions and recommendations on a wide
variety of reward consulting projects. Typical reward assignments
involve cash and equity-based compensation.
?  Preparing draft reports and final reports for clients, including
exhibits, summaries, and recommendations.
?  Managing projects with little guidance or supervision.
?  Supporting thought leadership and market-facing efforts through
research, preparation and delivery of content for conference
presentations, webcasts, audiocasts, and articles.
?  Providing sales and marketing support for the northeast region
business development activities supporting offices in Philadelphia
and New York Metro. Qualifications:
?  This position requires a four-year college degree, preferably in
Finance, Business, Mathematics or Human Resources. Additional formal
education (i.e. MBA, MA, MS) preferred. ?  CCP, CEP, CFA, or other
professional certification desired.
?  Ideal candidate will have at least three years compensation
experience, preferably in consulting.  Knowledge of equity compensation
and equity survey data required.
?  Experience using data from SEC filings (proxy, 10-K, 8-K, Form 4) to
develop executive and equity compensation analyses required.
?  Demonstrated experience in the following areas: research, analysis
and planning skills, strategic, organization and problem solving skills
and experience,
?  Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and
interpersonal and presentation skills for interaction with members of
Boards of Directors and C-level executives.
?  Proficiency in MS Office: must have advanced Excel skills and working
knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Access.
?  Ability to adapt tactics to excel in a culture with a high degree of
ambiguity.
?  High degree of self-confidence as a proven performer.
?  Focus on client needs by acting to make concrete attempts to add
value for the client.
?  Strong work ethic and a personal commitment to excellence.
?  Intellectual curiosity, along with the desire to aggressively seek
new challenges.
?  Skill set of a polished professional who is detail oriented, well
organized, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
