home entertainment market. Through its current acquisition and an
earlier acquisition, the company is one of the leading global suppliers
for the large, high-growth digital home entertainment market that is
estimated to reach $5 billion by 2010. It is headquartered in Santa
Clara, California.



As a result of this latest acquisition, the Company will have a
complete and competitive product line, an extensive portfolio of
consumer IP with over 2,000 patents, state-of-the-art System-on-Chip
(SOC) technology and manufacturing capacity, and a highly efficient
operating infrastructure with core technology centers across Asia and

Position

As the Director of Global Compensation and Total Rewards and a key
member of the HR team, you will be the subject matter expert for
compensation and must be able to shift from conducting complex
compensation analysis to presenting advanced concepts of compensation
to company executives and rank and file in a clear and concise manner.
This company needs a creative, research-based professional to lead the
design, development and implementation of its broad-based compensation
and benefits programs. This is an opportunity to play a key role in the
continued design and development of global compensation and benefits
programs. This role will be accountable for continually improving the
response to the challenges the company faces as it continues its
incredible growth. Our ideal candidate is a well-rounded performer and

someone who has the vision of what the company needs in this function
in order to be able to scale to the next life stage and who can design,
develop and implement the tactical details of today while moving toward
that vision.


Responsibilities

• Design and develop base, incentive, and executive compensation
programs, based on market benchmarking studies, to reflect the
Company's pay philosophy and business goals.

• Partner with the VP HR and the executive compensation consultant
in the development of executive compensation analysis and materials
needed for presentation to the Compensation Committee of the Board of
Directors.

• Manage and measure the effectiveness of complex compensation
structures and when required deliver analysis and program direction for
global diverse job groups located in the US, Europe and Asia.


• Manage internal resources and external consultants to complete projects.

• Drive innovation in variable compensation programs for
competitive advantage by preparing analytical studies and
recommendations on subjects such as incentive compensation, bonus
plans, sales compensation and stock options. Including administration
