The company also operates two bakery production facilities that produce over 50 varieties of its signature cheesecakes and other baked goods for sale through the restaurants and other food service operators and distributors. Reporting to the VP of Compensation and Benefits the Stock Plan Administrator/Benefits Manager is responsible for all day to day stock plan administration and benefit programs and assists in the development of new or improved benefit programs or processes.  The Manager Supervises 1 to 4 Benefits staff members.


 


This position will have the unique role of combining experience in both Stock Plan Administration and Benefits management in a high profile way.  The Manager will have the opportunity to work with Human Resources as well as Finance and will have the ability to gain more experience in these areas.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced manager to combine their experience in Stock Plan Administration and Benefits Management and to engage with the board, legal and HR departments in a high profile way.  The Stock Plan Administrator/Benefits Manager will have the ability to develop strategy and process improvement in the organization.


 


 


Key Responsibilities


Stock Administration:



  •  Administer employee stock option, restricted stock unit, and other equity plans

  •  Manage vendor relationship with third party stock plan service provider (Schwab)

  •  Supervise data feed process from multiple payroll systems to outsourced provider(s)

  •  Provide reports and analyses for senior management, prepare documents for Board of Directors

  •  Draft participant communications

  •  Track new grants and outstanding shares, create and process new grant files

  •  Answer employee questions and resolve problems regarding equity

  •  Update and maintain company and employee equity files in a complete, accurate, and timely manner

  •  Recommend enhancements to programs, systems or policies to provide maximum value and cost effectiveness

  • Supervision of 1 to 4 benefits staff

  • Administration of one or more benefits programs such as 401(k) or executive non-qualified deferred compensation plan

  • Assistance with overall benefits strategy and vendor management

  • Administration of company car program

  • Administration of operations bonus plans

  • HRIS (Lawson) report development

  • Leadership of various projects for benefits


Background Required



  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business or a related field.

  • At least 5 years as a Stock Plan Administrator

  • At least 5 years of benefits experience

  • At least 2-5 years of supervisory experience

  • Strong quantitative skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to think critically

  • Self-directed with the ability to work independently as well as with groups

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to effectively plan, organize and prioritize work

  • CEP certification is highly desirable
