POSITION SUMMARY:




This position will focus extensively on refining and communicating the
firm’s compensation strategy, programs and processes, but will manage
both Compensation and Benefits related disciplines for the Company. As
a key leader on the HR management team, incumbent will oversee the
development and administration of innovative and competitive Total
Rewards Programs (USA responsibility but outreach and interface across
global Compensation/Benefits related initiatives and programs).
Position will manage a staff of 4 and reports directly to the VP HR.



PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:




10 -15+ years HR related experience with deep functional expertise in
the Compensation discipline. Person could be functioning in a dedicated
Compensation related role but must have exposure to Benefits in his/her
background at some point in his/her HR career as well. Must have direct
management experience in a Senior leadership Compensation and/or
Compensation and Benefits role supporting a dynamic client
organization. Person could come out of any industry - biotech, pharma,
biomedical, health care and/or R&D related work environment not
required but a plus. Demonstrated proficiency and experience relating
to all facets of compensation development and design. Broad and deep
experience with diverse pay programs/components highly desired,
including Sales Incentive Bonus plans, Allowances, etc. International
compensation practices a plus. Experience managing or exposure to
development and administration of Benefits programs ideal. Proven track
record of driving Compensation/Benefits related initiatives. Must be an
effective communicator, able to develop strong working relationships at
all levels within the Company and successfully present complex concepts
and programs. Ability to provide HR leadership while ensuring that
Compensation/Benefits are well integrated throughout the organization.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically as well as respond to
day-to-day needs. Ability to coach, counsel, and mentor staff. Able to
develop strong customer and executive relationships and navigate a
complex, global organization is required. Must be able to work
successfully with and to influence senior leaders. Global interface and
European travel.
