Amazon is seeking a Stock Plan Services professional. This team is
a unique blend of strategic and transactional work, with three key
areas of responsibility: (1) business process owner of the end-to-end
stream of data that results in the creation and execution of stock
grants for Amazon.com. employees; (2) managing the daily activity of
stock administration, including data analytics, reporting, executing
transactions and responding to employee customers; includes managing
the relationship with the external record keeper; and (3) strategically
owning the stock grant policies and practices that support our total
compensation philosophy.
The stock team is responsible for all post-grant administration processes and reporting, including but not limited to:
- Grant administration of stock option grants and restricted
units and awards from multiple stock-based plans, including those from
corporate acquisitions - Daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, including year-end proxy reporting
- Interface with the stock option administration outsource vendor when handling day-to-day exercise and release activities
- Work with various corporate departments to provide required reporting, payroll, tax and accounting
- Answer employee inquiries and resolve problems regarding stock options and restricted stock units
- Assist in merger, acquisition activity where stock options and restricted stock are involved
- Ad hoc research and problem/dispute resolution
The successful candidate will have 4+ years of experience in finance,
accounting or business processes. Direct experience with stock or
finance/accounting in a public company is required, and exposure to
international business is preferred. The strongest candidates will
possess analytical and project management skills, with thorough
knowledge of securities law, and the complexity of taxation and
accounting standards around the world. A Bachelor's degree is
required, a graduate degree and certification (CPA, CCP, CEP) is
preferred. This role reports to the Manager of Benefits and Stock Plan
Services in Seattle, Washington.
