pharmaceutical,  consumer products, biotech, and medical device
companies.  We are a subsidiary of FPC National which was founded in 1959 and has over 70 offices around the country. 


Our client, a global manufacturing company located in New York City, is seeking a Manager, External Reporting
This is an exciting opportunity to get into a company that is
performing well and serves both the industrial/commercial and consumer
marketplace.  They have continually adapted to the changing economy and
have found ways to maximize profits without compromising customer
service.


Responsibilities:

• Lead the
preparation, coordination (timing and function coordination with legal,
IR, Consolidations, Third-party publisher, etc.), development and
adherence to disclosure/reporting controls, and documentation for all
external financial reporting related documents and matters. This
includes the following reports: SEC quarterly report on Form 10Q; the
SEC annual report on Form 10K; other SEC filings (8-K, S-3, etc.) as
business conditions warrant.


• Participate in the preparation of the internal reporting package.


• Prepare and/or supervise the preparation of the earnings release.



Lead the monthly and quarterly closing and consolidation by helping the
Consolidation department to resolve out of balances between
Corporate-controlled entities. Review and approve final consolidation.


• Review monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages.


• Review monthly account reconciliations.


• Lead the interpretation of US GAAP and IFRS.


• Act a key member in all internal and external audits.


• Analyze financial results and account balances.


• Research new accounting regulations and prepare resolution memos for management.



Assist with the preparation and documentation of periodic filings with
Securities and Exchange Commission and other government agencies.


Requirements:


Minimum of 10-12 years of prior technical accounting management
experience required, with 3 to 5 of those years in a Big 4/national
firm or large multi-national corporate environment preferred.


• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience.


• Must possess strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC and IFRS technical accounting and reporting rules and regulations.


• Must possess knowledge of FAS 133 derivatives and FAS 123R stock option accounting.


• A working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley is also required.


• CPA license required.


• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required.


• Knowledge of Hyperion and/or HFM


• Periodic domestic and international travel will be required.
