Compensation Senior Staff Program Manager - Equity Programs

We currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Compensation Professional. In this role you will have an opportunity to make an impact on Seagate's ability to attract and retain employees through the design and positioning of Seagate's global equity programs. We are looking for someone to strategically develop and evaluate Seagate's equity programs to ensure they are current, competitive and in compliance with legal requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development and management of the global employee equity programs including Stock Options, Restricted Stock Unitsand our Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
- Partners with Legal, Finance and Stock Administration to ensure compliance with SOX, SEC and other global requirements.
- May also be involved in the design, implementation, administrationand maintenance of the other company compensation plans (base pay, bonus pay).
Other duties may include:
- Drafting job descriptions, job evaluations, participation in compensation surveys, development of compensation structures, budgets and publish policies and procedures to ensure the achievement of equitable and competitive employee compensation programs.
- Working with line management to assess competitive labor market trends to recommend corrective or alternative actions to resolve pay problems.
- Reviewing requests for new or revised classifications to determine appropriate salary grade assignment.
- Maintaining a working knowledge of federal, state/province and international legislation that impact employee equity programs.
Program Management Responsibilities:
This position has overall program management responsibility for Seagate's equity programs. In this role, direct people management responsibility is not required.
- Manages the development and implementation processes involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing programs.
- Plans and directs schedules and may monitor budget/spending.
- Monitors the program from initiation through delivery.
- Organizes the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project on schedule and within budget constraints.
Qualifications:
- 10 to 12 years compensation experience in the design, implementation, market analysis and administration of global employee equity programs.
- Broad expertise in compensation with the ability to use skills to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and the ability to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.
- Bachelor's degree
- Ability to work on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Ability to create formal networks involving coordination among groups.
Ability to act independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments.
