As the Payroll and Stock Plan Administrator, you will have responsibility for all aspects of payroll and equity plan administration. This includes management, administration, coordination, reconciliation and reporting for our United States payroll, and all of these responsibilities for our global equity compensation programs.


 




Essential Functions:


 




Payroll Administration





 


Process full cycle semi-monthly, multi-state payroll, including the following:


 



  • Calculate manual checks (including gross ups).

  • Process voluntary and involuntary deductions.

  • Process bonus/commission, relocation, termination/severance, disability payments and tuition reimbursements.

  • Report equity compensation, including stock option exercises, RSU vesting, and ESPP sales.

  • Review and reconcile ADP Quarterly/Annual Processing including W2's and tax filings.

  • ADP iPay administration.

  • Assist with quarterly financial audits.

  • Provide customer service assistance to employee requests and inquiries.

  • Prepare and monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.

  • Ad-hoc projects as required.


 




Stock Administration





 


Administer the Company's Equity Plan Administration including the following:


 



  • Initiate and process annual, new hire and promotion grants of stock options and restricted stock units and biannual Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) purchases.

  • Process new hires, terminations and cancellations.

  • Coordinate with international subsidiaries regarding equity grant process and compliance.

  • Assist with generating reports for accounting and SFAS 123R reporting.

  • Primary liaison with transfer agents and brokers.

  • Preparation and distribution of stock plan communications materials and grant paperwork.


 


Partner closely with the Legal, Finance and Human Resource functions on various items including the following:


 



  • Coordination of insider identification, communication and maintenance.

  • Assist with SEC filing requirements for Section 16 officers.

  • Communicate impact of modifications to existing grants and/or equity plan design revisions to legal/finance/HR and employees.

  • Maintain and update Sarbanes Oxley documentation.

  • Participate in the Proxy preparation process and other ad hoc SEC filings.

  • Have a basic understanding of FAS123R and how actions by stock administration directly impact the related equity expense calculated by the accounting team.

  • Answer employee questions and resolve problems.


 


Experience & Qualifications:


 



  • Minimum 3 years experience processing full cycle payroll through ADP PC payroll.

  • Thorough understanding of equity compensation and related tax reporting and withholding requirements.

  • Must have demonstrated familiarity with and understanding of CA Labor Law as it applies to payroll.

  • A thorough knowledge of reporting and withholding requirements for various compensation required.

  • Must have knowledge of accounting and experience processing journal entries and preparing account reconciliations.

  • Experience with ReportSmith is required.

  • Must have the ability to multi-task and have high level organization skills. Accuracy and attention to detail is a must.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred but not required.

  • Certified Payroll Professional certification preferred.

  • Experience with Oracle and Equity Edge is a plus but not required.
