Cargill Overview:
This position is part of the Shared Services Total Compensation Team.
In collaboration with other Compensation team members, as well as
working with BUs, legal, I/T personnel and various levels of
management, this position will provide leadership around the global
equity program. This includes the equity recommendation and
administration processes, which include the design, implementation,
compliance, process improvements, education, data analysis and project
management. Principal Accountabilities:
- Responsible
for the global annual equity recommendation process and on-going equity
administration. Provides strategic thought leadership around long-term
incentives and the overall equity processes.
- Manage the
equity administration and recommendation process teams by providing
coaching to direct reports and overall project management.
- Responsible
for ensuring plan design, documentation and administration is compliant
with global tax and legal requirements and ensuring effective
communications.
- Lead data research and analysis
necessary to ensure design and implementation of compensation programs
are competitive, cost effective and consistent with Cargill business
goals and compensation philosophy.
- Manage systems and technology required to efficiently operate the global equity program.
- Lead cross-functional teams and primary liaison with other departments such as legal, tax, finance, etc.
- Manage
the budget, including setting pricing and managing revenue and expenses
for the Equity portion of the Total Compensation department budget.
- Oversee the management of external vendors for the equity administration process.
- Participate
in the preparation and presentation of long-term incentive materials
for senior management and Board of Director meetings. Provide content
expertise and recommendations to senior leaders.
- Provide leadership and/or support on special projects as assigned.
Job Requirements
Required:
- Bachelors degree.
- 8 or more years work experience in an HR or business related field. Experience working with long-term incentive plans.
- Proven ability to lead teams and develop others.
- Proven ability to effectively manage complex projects.
- Experience in process management and optimization.
- Strong written communication skills, including documenting complex processes, preparing memos and presentation materials.
- Strong oral communication skills sufficient to effectively communicate with and present to all levels of management.
- High level of tact and ability to handle sensitive compensation and financial information.
- Ability to be flexible in a changing environment and interface effectively within and cross-functionally in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools.
- Financial analysis skills sufficient to ensure that compensation plan modeling and financial calculations are accurate.
- Demonstrated track record in promoting an inclusive environment and seeking ways to integrate differences.
Desired:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Human Resources or related field.
- Working knowledge of desktop software, including Microsoft Power Point and Access.
- Experience with design and administration of complex long-term incentive compensation programs.
- Understanding
of compensation system design (information system requirements,
transactional flow & impact of compensation actions).
- Experience with Lotus Notes.
