Sr. Compensation Analyst
General Summary:
The client's Senior Compensation Analyst position will support the Sales
Compensation Manager in the preparation and finalization of sales
compensation programs including quarterly bonus calculations, gathering
competitive compensation data and plan design modeling. Serves as the
sales force's first point of contact for day to day compensation
inquiries and provides customer service to the sales force.
Essential Functions:
* Under general direction, assists with the development,
implementation and administration of sales incentive programs.
* Oversees the day to day administration of the sales incentive
plans - ensuring sales results are accurately compensated.
* Maintain compensation data integrity within the HR systems to
efficiently maximize compensation processes and procedures, and ensure
all procedures are documented and reviewed periodically.
* Participates in sales compensation surveys and analyzes survey
results.
* Compiles and analyzes data from multiple sources.
* Works with the sales force to determine needs/issues, completes
research and presents recommendations to the compensation and sales
manager.
* Prepares communications, policies, and procedures related to
sales compensation, as needed.
* Develop an in-depth understanding of the ecompensation programs,
systems, and administration process and procedures.
Secondary Functions:
* Works with other members of the department administering broad
based compensation programs
* Conduct analysis of jobs, hourl6y wages, salaries, and
incentives.
Knowledge skills and abilities:
* Exceptional MS Excel skills is required (i.e., vlookups, pivot
tables, modeling, graphs/charts)
* Advanced knowledge of MS Access and PowerPoint required.
* Self-starter/highly motivated with proven ability to work in a
dynamic environment and apply sound judgment.
* Advanced organizational skills essential for meeting tight
deadlines as well as managing multiple tasks in a timely manner.
* Excellent customer service and interpersonal kills; ability to
communicate effectively wit all levels of management.
* Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under
pressure.
* Ability to work with confidential information.
* Prior PeopleSoft experience preferred.
Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in related field such as Business
Administration, Finance, Math, or equivalent with 3 - 5 years experience
in Compensation or Finance including sales incentive compensation
administration, modeling and analysis.
* Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations related to
Compensation.
* PHR or World at Work Certification (CCP) preferred.
