Recruiters - Should they be allowed to join?

Should we allow recruiters to join the ECE?

1. We can restrict them to only posting jobs and connecting to people they already know.

2. We can ensure that if they violate these rules they can be reported and, if required, removed.

3. It will give all of us information about new opportunities that we may otherwise not know of.

I say no.

There are plenty of ways to search for jobs.  Recruiters have many avenues to use. I would like to see this board be purely content.

Yes, I am fine with this...

Sure.

I would say that, if subject matter is the focus of the group, inviting recruiters to join may not be on point

Absolutely Not

That would almost immediately depricate the purpose of the group.

We've had many staff calls from recruiters that use these pages as "trolling grounds".

I believe the purpose of the Equity Compensation Expert Group was to have been a content driven forum amongst peers.

I would think not, unless there was a sure fire way to ensure they arent using the group as a means of pulling/showing candidates. It would be helpful to utilize the group more as a networking opportunity to discuss comp ideas, not sure of the value-add of having the recruiters join?

yes

No - the site should only allow substantive contributors to join.
