EASi's February Release Adds Portal Functionality and Enhanced Reporting to ESPP Solution


New Tools Improve Self-Service, Ensure Compliance and Simplify Disposition Handling


Pleasanton, CA - February 21, 2012 - Equity Administration Solutions, Inc. (EASi), the largest independent stock plan software technology company in the world, today announced enhancements to its comprehensive ESPP solution that enable participant self-service, support more efficient disposition handling and simplify reporting.


The EASi Share Participant Portal offloads time-consuming tasks from Plan administrators. The portal now enables eligible employees to enroll, review plan documents, change payroll elections, view contributions, confirm purchases, track dispositions and see their full ESPP history. EASi also developed an automatic authentication process that instantly provisions a participant login and password, once the administrator has designated employee eligibility.


"We have incorporated ESPP requirements from clients and industry experts to ensure we've built the most comprehensive solution on the market for simplifying the complex processes of eligibility and enrollment through purchase and reporting," said Mark Ebersole, EASi's Chief Technology Officer. EASi clients realize a significant savings over administration fees charged by brokerage firms or transfer agents for enrollment and purchase calculations. EASi's solution can be used by companies on administration platforms other than EASi just for ESPP financial reporting. "EASi can import data from any platform (including participant history) or payroll provider, calculate the purchase, send the file to the broker and handle the financial reporting," Ebersole added.


The platform determines qualifying and disqualifying status of disposition shares and systematically tracks qualifying dispositions. EASi's tools support the participant survey process, making it easier to import responses and determine proper tax treatment.


In addition, EASi introduced a new disposition detail report and an offering period activation results report in its February product release. EASi's robust set of administrative and accounting reports keep administrators on top of enrollment, contributions, transactions, tax and IRS reporting requirements. EASi provides all the reports needed to effectively communicate with a client's payroll department, broker and transfer agent.
