This is a very interesting article and I suspect we are not getting the whole story.
Questions I have:
1. What was vested and how much time are they being given to exercise it?
2. What type of CIC provisions did they have?
3. How have these individuals been performing over the past year or two?
If this simply a move to reduce compensation acceleration it seems very odd. in an $8.6 Billion deal, the compensation for these people would likely be a drop in the bucket. Perhaps, when the dust is settled (or sooner), someone from Skype can provide more insight.

Yet another article on this Skype nonsense. I like the last sentence: "Maybe the issue isn't how evil this is, but how stupid." And that is really getting at the heart of the matter. For those of you in the Valley, I bet this topic has spread like a wild canyon fire.
