Even people who don't know Dan can get member prices on this and the four other CEP textbooks that have just been updated for 2011. The NCEO is offering an "update your reference books" special for the month of February. Just go to www.NCEO.org/bundle and you can purchase all five books - the 2011 editions of Accounting for Equity Compensation, Advanced Topics in Equity Compensation Accounting, Beyond Stock Options, Selected Issues in Equity Compensation, and The Stock Options Book, for the member price (a $15 discount on each book), plus only $5 shipping for all the books.
Achaessa,
Thanks for sharing this great news. Since our world is constantly changing it is good to know that the NCEO is constantly updating our resources. It is even better to know that you can buy a whole set of books for a tiny fraction of your annual pay.
I agree that everyone (CEP or not) should have a complete set of these books on their shelf, and update them each year. It is really a small investment to have expert information at your fingertips.
Dan
In addition to Dan's comprehensive new chapter on performance award plans in Beyond Stock Options, the book Advanced Topics in Equity Compensation Accounting has an entirely new chapter called "Making Sense of Forfeiture Rates." The text books have also been updated for the Dodd-Frank Act, including say-on-pay; cost-basis reporting and Form 1099-B; Section 6039 reporting; FICA taxes for deferred RSUs; compensation-related risk management; accounting for changes in employment status; and expected term calculations.
