How Much Would You Turn Down To Leave Google? - Benzinga




Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) has stepped up from its $100k bonuses last summer to offering one of its engineers $6 million for not leaving the company to work for Facebook, according to Business Insider.


Last week Google offered $3.5 million to an employee, and has almost doubled that this week in the form of a stock grant.


These stock options and bonuses are certainly nice for those
receiving them, but surely Google may face troubles in the future when
these large offerings become expected, especially if employees purposely
seek out opportunities at other companies just to get a rise out of
Google management.

More Google "news".


I still think these articles are more likely to be exaggerated than 100% facts.  The story implies that Google paid a regular employee $7,000,000 in stock to stay at the company.  Seems pretty unlikely to me.
