I don't often use the ECE site for completely self-interested reasons, but I thought I would make an exception today. I am running for the Board of Directors of GEO (Global Equity Organization) and would like your
support.
If you are a member please vote today.
If you are not a member, but work at a corporate issuer / plan sponsor, GEO membership is currently free, you can become a member and vote.
I have been a member of GEO for more than a decade. I also dedicate a lot of my free time to the industry as a whole and think that I would be an asset.

Member Voting 2010
GEO's Board of Directors is
the primary body responsible for determining the strategic direction of
the organization. The Board consists solely of volunteers,
representing both corporate issuer and service provider constituencies
within the organization. GEO is fortunate in that board members
typically represent some of the most accomplished professionals in the
global employee share plan community.
This year’s
Board of Directors election will take place from 1 June - 15 June 2010
and will close at 5 pm (Pacific Daylight Time) on 15 June. All members
of record on 31 May 2010 are eligible to vote using this electronic
ballot. Results of the election will be announced late in June. Based
upon the total vote count, GEO’s Board of Directors will designate up to
five new directors for terms of three years each. Elected directors
will assume their positions as of 1 July 2010.

Dan is on our board at the NCEO and I have found him to be a valuable contributor and highly participatory. His understanding of equity compensation and the equity comp industry is comprehensive and his insights have been extremely useful to me.
Thanks everyone who voted for me (or other ECE members). The pools close June 15 and I really don;t know when they will announce the results, but I appreciate your support!

I am very happy to know that you have taken advantage of the FREE Membership that GEO is offering professionals from corporate issuers. I hope that other ECE members will take advantage. (why the heck not?)

Thanks everyone for your support. Unfortunately, I have been informed that I was not elected this year. Maybe next year.
