Survey-palooza! Take some time to create industry data - 12 March 2010
Survey-palooza! Take some time to create industry data
One of the issues I always find difficult in our industry is the tiny amount of evidence-based information we have available. We are often faced with theories andconjecture, rather than cold, hard facts.
There are several equity compensation surveys currently open and awaiting your response
. Each of these surveys is also listed as a Discussion in the “Surveys and Market Data” forum on the ECE site. I know we are all swamped with “real” work, but please take some time over the next few weeks to respond to some, or all, of the surveys below. Please use the Discussion forum to list any comments that may help other ECE members prepare or may assist the survey provider making improvements for 2011.
I have ordered these by the level of effort or time I
believe it will take to complete them.

For the past few years, Buck Consultants and Global Shares have conducted a survey of stock plan professionals responsible for the operation of their company’s employee stock plan. This survey is designed to provide insight into how companies administer their various stock plans, including outsourcing issues, the plan’s cost to the company, and the software used. In order to get a well-rounded look at the situation, the survey also considers such issues as number of people supporting the administration of the plan(s) as well as the impact of plan responsibilities on the administrator. The survey results will be distributed electronically to all participants in May 2010.
