I am looking for an Italian Intermediary. I know UBS was, or is, considering the business, but the contacts in Italy have not received any information on their service yet. Any other referrals would be appreciated. Thanks.

You may want to try Deutsche Bank AG Milan.

Hi Wendy
You might want to give Ron Snitker of UBS a call ((615) 429-4766). He was the person who put the initiative together at UBS a couple of years ago. I don't know their current offering but there was a charge for the service when it was initiated.
Wendy -
Here is a recommendation that eBay received from CISCO -
Financial intermediary in Italy: BNP PARIBAS. Please contact - Ying Long, Cisco Systems, Inc., 408-527-0746, yinlong@cisco.com for more details.
Also, I think that Jean Wong at Sun mentioned a couple of other banks that are also providing services.
Currently, eBay does not have any employees participating in ESPP. The last intermediary was Banca Euromobiliare.
Wendy,
I am working with an Italian software vendor that has a large base of clients in Fin Svcs. I'll see if I can obtain any contacts for you.
we're looking closely at BNP Paribas. contact stefano bondioli at stefano.bondioli@bnpparibas.com.
Hi Wendy,
Agilent Technologies is in the process of changing our intermediary in time for our purchase on October 31, 2009. The new intermediary that we will be using is UBI. I know that our local HR Representative also met with Banca Intesa and BNP Paribas and ultimately chose UBI.
Please let me know if I can help provide further information.
Tamara
Agilent Technologies
Do you have contact information for any of them?
Thanks.
Wendy
I have a request out to my Italy contact and will follow up as soon as I have more details.
Tamara
I have worked with BNP Paribas in Italy as well. Just wanted to check briefly that you have checked that you do actually need a financial intermediary. It is only required if there is actual payment required for the shares (i.. an ESPP but not for a cashless exercised stock option, RSP, RSU etc.)

Hi Wendy,
Banca Euromobiliare have stopped supporting share plans and officially end the service on Sept 30th for their existing clients. As posted above BNP in Milan support it and stefano.bondioli@bnpparibas.com (tel +39 02 7247 4376) is the main contact.
Banca Aletti in Verona also support share plans. Mr Gabriele Andreotti, Brokerage Manager: (gabriele.andreotti@alettibank.it., )+39 335 1372067is the contact there
Banca Intesa are also in the business, you can try marco.marazia@intesatrade.it, +39 335 7619866
Unicredito do it too but I do not have a contact there. Of the three
BNP have been the most responsive and do not necessarily need accounts opened with them to support the tax reporting.
Hope this Helps
