Next Certified Equity Professional Exam - 7 Nov 2009 (registration closes 24 Sep 2009)
Register by September 25 for the November 7 exam, http://www.scu.edu/business/
Slow times are when you should work to improve your credentials and skills sets. As the market returns and equity/share plans become increasingly complex it is essential that you have a foundation in the four major areas that impact equity compensation> Law, Accounting, Tax and Administration.
The Certified Equity Professional Institute is the source for this validation of your knowledge. In becoming a CEP you also become part of a active and participatory group of professionals who can be called upon when you have questions or need assistance.
It is not free, but s certainly not expensive. There are three levels and if you start with the November 2009 Exam you can be complete before the end of 2010.
If you are not sure, or have questions about the program you can contact me directly (dwalter@performensation.com). Or you can look up Emily Cervino, the Director of the CEPI, on this ECE site and send her a messag. She is always available to answer questions and provide advice.
If you are already in the process, or have obtained your CEP, let others know by commenting to this discussion.
Thanks, Dan
