Hi everyone,

It looks like we really have a stimulus bill.  It is probably fairly close to what we will see as the final package written into law. Let's talk about the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.

Please cut and paste the following 10 questions, along with your answers and put them into a response on this site.

  1. Have you already read the areas pertaining to your job responsibilities?

  2. Have you read any of the extensive summaries available?

  3. Do you plan to submit comments?

  4. If the ECE provided a comment document would you accept or modify it and send it in?

  5. Would you be willing to work with other ECE members to create a comment document?

  6. Will this impact your company immediately?  Either by way of being a TARP recipient, a corporate action regarding a TARP recipient, clients or competitors who are going to be impacted.

  7. Do you feel that the caps/limits put in place will significantly impact equity compensation?  Over the next 6 months?  Over the next 5 years? Permanently?

  8. Do you agree that Caps/Limits on Executive Compensation will be an effective way to ensure better governance and/or corporate performance?

  9. Does your company already have some form of "pay equity" or compensation limits in place?  If so, please provide a summary

  10. If you could provide one major change t the package, what would it be?

The site listed below is an excellent resource for getting the actual text and more.  They even have th versions with handwritten notes all over them.

The Stimulus Has Passed the House and Senate

Posted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 14, 2009

Yesterday, the both the House and Senate passed the stimulus package. The White House is now soliciting comments on the bill, and we encourage everyone to --- politely --- share their feedback.

The best links to read the final package remain below (or at the White House page).
Those documents are still full of hand-written annotations and markups,
making it impossible for us to use our parsing techniques to generate
fully online and searchable versions. So we will wait until final clean
copies are available, and at that time parse them for future reference
and review.
