5th Annual CEPI Symposium

For those of you who missed it, the CEPI symposium, held December 2, 2008 at Santa Clara University was a great success.

Let me first say the event is MUCH TOO CHEAP for the value delivered.  This years event was $125 for a full day of seminars, including an excellent keynote presentation by author and professor Hersh Shefrin.  Professor Shefrin covered his area of speciality, behavioral finance.  The presentation was timely and hopefully helped the audience understand some of the seemingly confusing actions taken by equity participants.

The event was a sold out.  Sessions covered taxation, performance programs, mergers and acquisitions as well as a multitude of international topics.  The CEPI presented a new award for volunteerism to Barbara Baksa.  Even the food was great.

If you are a CEPI participant you shoud be able to go to ther web site soon to download the presentation materials.  If not, I would recommend looking into the program, or least plan on attending next year event.  My congraulations to Emily Cervino (ECE member, please feel free to send her a message through this site) and her team for putting on a fanastic intensive event.
